Leading Plumbing Parts Distributor Launches B2B Ecommerce Portal with ERP & PIM Integration

Robert Lee Project

Robert Lee is the largest independent distributor of bathrooms, showers, and plumbing products in the UK. They supply fixtures and hardware to retailers and merchants. The company is a hybrid of two respected and independent distributors, Mark Abrahams and Robert Lee London Ltd. Robert Lee has headquarters in Waltham Abbey and branches in Swindon, Tamworth, and Manchester.

The Challenge

Robert Lee used product information management (PIM) software created by a third party, and they needed it to integrate with their product information, details, and images. They also needed to integrate all their pricing and inventory information. In short, they needed a robust b2b ecommerce portal for distributors that could handle their elaborate needs.

The Solution

The solution for Robert Lee included multiple integrations. Cloudfy connected the third-party PIM software via API to pull in product images, details, descriptions, and images. Cloudfy used the Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) ERP integration system to pull in price, inventory, and customer lists.

To view products, customers must have an approved customer login. Once logged in, customers can view a custom product grid that Cloudfy created just for Robert Lee.

Another feature unique to Robert Lee is the customer’s account dashboard. This feature allows the customer to view their financial documents themselves at any time. Cloudfy designed the website to pull invoices in PDF format into the client portal. Customers can check for proof of delivery or look at previous orders or invoices.

The custom dashboard helps make things more efficient for Robert Lee. Customers can manage their users here in the dashboard. And the customer has access to all their information anytime they need it and no longer have to ask Robert Lee staff or wait for a response. This speeds up processes, especially for independent contractors who are waiting for parts and can check the shipment status themselves.
