How Cloudfy delivers successful B2B ecommerce projects

handshake

Anybody who has worked in both retail and B2B business will testify that the two are very different.

The way things operate in the B2B world and the requirements for businesses here differ markedly. But when it comes to B2B ecommerce, we have found that too many people in the field start with traditional retail websites, and look to adapt these models to the B2B world.

In our experience, this can mean B2B organizations miss out on some vital elements that can take their ecommerce offering to the next level.

At Cloudfy, we’ve built our ecommerce platform with a B2B focus from the ground up. Everything you get is tailored to your B2B-specific requirements, allowing you to reach your full potential online. We can also do hybrid sites, combining B2B and B2C capabilities, as required.

It is from this basis that we deliver successful B2B ecommerce projects. By placing the specific requirements of B2B businesses at the heart of what we do, Cloudfy is in a better position to help businesses achieve their aims.

Cloudfy: The product

The Cloudfy platform offers B2B out-of-the-box, and we have tailored our features to suit the needs of B2B businesses.

As an example, there are multiple units of sale available. With something like wholesale wine for example, it’s easy to sell wine bottles by unit, by case and by box. This aligns with the way in which B2B purchases are made and offers additional flexibility for customers.

The way Cloudfy is built also allows for B2B businesses to careful manage their pricing. Unlike typical retail sites, where products cost the same for everybody, Cloudfy’s system offers the chance to deliver different pricing for different customers or customer groups. This means B2B sellers can offer excellent levels of personalized pricing, making it easy to provide your long-term customers with quality offers and enhance the overall customer experience.

This level of personalization is something that spans the Cloudfy product. We look to take personalization to the Nth degree, noting the levels of personalization seen in B2C retail today and applying this in a B2B context.

With Cloudfy, your current customers are presented with the products they are contracted to buy via their personalized landing page. You can deliver messages and supply contact details for account managers for example via this page. Users can jump between this and the full product range that you sell. This means customers have everything they could want at their fingertips.

We are also able to deliver personalized SKUs for customers. This works by delivering a tailored SKU to the end customer, while the B2B business has a different SKU to let them know what that specific product is at their end. This is perfect for any personalized products that are sold to multiple customers. This process allows for the same products with personalization or specific labeling to be sent out to different customers, and be easily recognized by the customer when looking to buy more of that product.

Diverse ordering capabilities

Cloudfy can pick up different kinds of orders from customers via a host of different mediums. Orders can be picked up email, cXML, EDI, via punchout, and via mobile apps. These all feeds into the Cloudfy back-end, allowing you to take orders from customers through a host of different means.

Dynamic Delivery

Cloudfy offers one of the most powerful out-of-the-box delivery modules for B2B on the market. There is a delivery prices hierarchy based on order content, and a massive number of postal options available.

The Cloudfy platform also makes it easy for different types of delivery charges. For example, you can charge based on basket content, or charge differently for different product groups. As an example, shipping 100 bay windows is going to require a different delivery approach and cost to shipping 100 pencils! This means having this level of flexibility is really useful. You can also tailor delivery charges based on customer group, while also having individual product delivery charges.

What’s more, Cloudfy makes it easy to tailor delivery based on the number of products purchased, and has different charge types, such as 3-day or 1-day options for customers. Multiple currencies are also available via Cloudfy.

Cloudfy: The experts

These are all reasons why the Cloudfy platform is something special and different to others on the market. But while our product has all this to offer, Cloudfy backs this up with an expert team that has years of experience working in the ecommerce industry.

Our team takes the time to understand what businesses are trying to achieve, and the systems and processes that can help them achieve it. Cloudfy is built in line with what we’ve seen within the industry and the things we see businesses wanting.

We’ve developed a key understanding of what customers are dealing with. Lots of customers coming to us have experienced previous B2B project failures and don’t have much experience on the integration side of things. But we have integration experts and a deep knowledge of what B2B companies really need.

Too often, B2B companies are provided with functional web portals. But these have little usability built in. What we do at Cloudfy is use our retail and B2C knowledge to tailor the platform to make a functional yet usable site.

Our team’s experience means it’s rare we get a question we have not heard before and do not have an immediate answer to. Our technical expertise has been formulated over years of working at a technical level across many projects, enabling us to bring true configuration flexibility to Cloudfy.

Our integration experience means we do not need to bring third parties into the equation. We always look to enable full integration to link all your systems together. Why? Because this increases the efficiency of your B2B site and reduces your cost to sell.

How do we work with you?

If all of the above sounds good, then Cloudfy could be your perfect B2B ecommerce partner. We look to always be honest with our customers, forming positive working relationships that allow everybody to reach their full potential.

Cloudfy offers a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, with functionality key to what we deliver. We have 75 live sites – many of which have been developed in a short time period. We have been able to deliver sites in less than 2 weeks, though typically the process takes between 5 to 8 weeks.

We like to work quickly and efficiently, and always feel things work best when we are able to deliver our full capabilities for a customer with minimal disruption.

Cloudfy works across all B2B industries globally, with customers today in the US, Australia, UK and Europe benefiting from the Cloudfy B2B SaaS model. This diversity has provided our team with a lot of experience – from projects with major suppliers to an understanding of small things like global postage and tax differences and how these affect businesses. This knowledge is something we can bring to the table to help deliver a successful B2B ecommerce project.

The benefits of choosing Cloudfy

We believe that, while our B2B SaaS product is exceptional, our team’s experience is what really helps us to deliver successful B2B ecommerce projects time and time again.

The Cloudfy team prides itself on being able to deliver quick turnarounds. With a sense of urgency now surrounding Magento 1 end of life, we’ve been working with a number of companies currently on Magento 1 to move them over to Cloudfy and give them a sustainable platform to move forwards with.
