London based Asiatic Carpets supplies wholesale carpeting in a myriad of styles, colors, and textures to retailers both big and small. They began as a family-owned-and-operated company in 1960 and was the first in the UK to adapt traditional rug making techniques for a contemporary market. The company continued to grow and launched its largest collection of rugs yet in 2019.

The Challenge

Previously, A.C. used Shopify for their webstore but found it wasn’t and ideal B2B ecommerce software for wholesalers. It lacked the robust functionality they needed to meet their complex trade-only requirements and to ultimately help them simplify, save and scale their business. They also needed a deeper level of ecommerce integration with their Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP platform.

The Cloudfy team created a custom-built shipment tracking module used to increase customer self-service so that Asiatic’s sales team to focus on sales rather than responding to shipping status inquiries. The new tracking module pulls the shipping status from their ERP system (Dynamics NAV) and present the data right inside the clients’ dashboards.


Cloudfy’s out-of-the-box client invoice and payment portal feature gives Asiatic’s customers the ability to log in to their dashboards to view and pay their outstanding invoices online 24/7. It’s also integrated their payment gateway providers, Lloyds Bank of London and PayPal. This new self-service dynamic helps to expedite the speed at which Asiatic collects outstanding payments by eliminating all the back-and-forth emailing that used to occur between the accounts receivable department and the clients.


Since Asiatic’s retail partners don’t necessarily have the showroom space to lay out the entire line of carpets, they wanted the ability to present the full product line to the shoppers in the form of a virtual catalog on tablets and other devices. With this e-catalog, customers can find more rugs in various colors, sizes, and textures as well as the amount of stock available. Yet the pricing is hidden since the retailers don’t want to shoppers to see the wholesale rates.
